We live in an era where there is a lot of focus on creating, and promoting ideas, projects, products. There is a lot of focus on getting things out into the world, and little focus on the foundation of the work that we do. Why do you do what you do? Who do you do it for? Means and purpose are different. The purpose is what we aim to achieve, while the means is how we try to achieve it. Means are significant only when the purpose is clear. When you know the purpose of your life, you tend to live a more meaningful existence than those who don’t. You tend to live each day to the fullest, because you know who you are, where you’re coming from, and where you’re going. To be able to truly understand and practice all that we will be teaching you in the next 4 weeks, we believe that it is important to start off this course introducing you to the dynamics of purpose. You will also learn how to craft your purpose statement.

As an entrepreneur, it’s easy to think that once you find the right person to partner/collaborate with, your business relationship will be simple and straightforward. When a business relationship doesn’t work out, most entrepreneurs resort to solopreneurship because “I can never trust anyone again.” We have found that having business partners is advantageous, especially if you find people with shared vision and values. Although not a necessity, If possible, find people with similar goals, and interests too. However, it’s important to understand that solid business relationships don’t materialize out of thin air. The best business relationships are built over a period of time, through patience, understanding, and experiences. As with personal relationships, it takes two to tango in business relationships - the best relationships are those where both parties put in continuous effort to maintain the trust. In this class, we share some considerations to keep in mind while building your business relationship.

In this class, we will discuss how the brain works, share tips for developing ideas, and teach you how to create a visual break down of your ideas, through a process called “Mind Mapping”.
Once you have a strategy the big challenge is execution, and if you cannot execute on your strategy then you might as well not have a strategy. If you copy someone else’s strategy and execute it better than them, you would likely be more successful than them. There are many businesses that could be disrupted by a competitor that executed more efficiently - a business with exactly the same go to market strategy as an existing one will outperform the existing business if they can execute their plan more efficiently! Many creative people struggle with taking their ideas from seed stage to execution. In this same light, many creative people struggle with making a science of their execution, to allow them repeated success. In this class, we share a proven method that allows you to take an idea and execute over and over again. Execution is a constant: it doesn't occur after planning; it occurs while planning. One of the biggest misconceptions people have of product development and design is that once a great product is developed, everything else falls immediately into place and into the public's hands. This is far from the truth. Great products do not sell themselves. People sell products to people and make them great from use. As it is with products, Ideas need to be sold in order to find expression in the world. Learning how to create and deliver a pitch can be the difference between someone who simply dreams and one who gets to see their ideas turn to tangible offerings in the marketplace. A great pitch is the gateway to securing funds or capital for business expansion or start up. In this class we share with you how to package your ideas into a sellable presentation and how to ensure that you are able to deliver it in a way that increases the odds of your audience buying and acting on your ideas.
